News Groups
PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST BE USING OUR Dialup FACILITY TO ACCESS OUR NEWSGROUP SERVERS
Open up Outlook Express and open the 'Internet Accounts' dialog box: Tools > Accounts...
Click 'Add' then click 'News...'.
This will start the Internet Connection Wizard. Enter your Name. This will appear in the 'From' field on your Emails. Click 'Next'.
Enter the Email address you wish to use to post articles from. Click 'Next'.
Enter your NNTP server. This is usually a sub-domain of your domain name. So if your domain name was mycompany.co.uk: nntp.mycompany.co.uk - however please note that if your domain has been 'transferred' to our servers from another ISP within the last 7 days you should use 'nntp.eliteukserve.net' instead. Click 'Next'.
Click 'Finish'.
Click 'Close'.
Select 'Yes' to download a list of newsgroups from your newly created account. Please note that this will take a few minutes, but you only need do this once.
Double-click a newsgroup of your choice to subscribe to that group, and then simply click 'Go To' to view the articles in that group.
In future to view the current articles of your subscribed group all you need do is click the group in your left-hand panel.
